Smart Alerts

Smart Alerts notify you when a tracker reaches configured milestones. They depend on the tracker’s saved rule, qualifying trips, and notification permission.

Turn on alerts

  1. Open the tracker and choose its alert settings.
  2. Turn on Smart Alerts.
  3. Select the available threshold or timing options you want.
  4. Allow notifications when iOS asks.

Alerts follow tracker calculations

If you edit a trip, change the tracker window, or close an ongoing trip, AtlasDays recalculates the tracker and schedules eligible alerts from the updated result.

Notification permission is separate

A tracker can have alerts configured while notifications are disabled in iOS. Open Settings → Notifications on the device if AtlasDays cannot deliver them.

Smart Alerts and Auto-Detect are different

Smart Alerts concern tracker thresholds. Auto-Detect notifications concern possible new border crossings. Each has its own purpose and settings.

Smart Alerts require AtlasDays Pro. The tracker itself can still be reviewed without alerts.

If an alert did not appear

Check AtlasDays notification permission, confirm Smart Alerts are on for the intended tracker, and verify that its current total actually crossed the configured milestone.
